I’ve got an exciting weekend coming up. Friday morning I’m headed to a Creative Mornings lecture series here in Atlanta, and in the afternoon I’m hopping on a plane with Jasmin to go visit our families. There’s even a slight chance that my brother will also be home visiting my parents, which will be the first time I’ve seen him since last summer.
I almost considered saving this sock for the plane ride – but then I figured I could find something a little easier to tote around. So, here it is, the last project I had sitting on needles! Yes, that afghan still needs finished, but that doesn’t actually count, since its on a hook that I can take out at any time. So, my needles have all, officially, been freed. How exciting! This sock is made of Lion Brand sock yarn and the pattern is the one they print inside the label. About as simple as it gets. I always imagined myself knitting 30 pairs of these, and having them just lying around my house. I think I’d like being the kind of person that secretly wears hand knit socks every day. But, so far, this is only my 3rd sock (in about 4 years…) so I’m not sure that will ever happen. Especially since Jasmin’s dad has requested that I make him a pair…which…I really need to get started on…
